BA 1980 Emory and Henry College; MSLS 1983 University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Alan came to Wake Forest in January 1995 after a seven
year stint as Catalog Librarian and Principal Catalog LIbrarian
at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Alan has
also worked at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
and the Baylor School.
Alan's responsibilities include managing Collection Services
and Systems for the library. He oversees the Law School's
use of the Ingeniux Content Management system and coordinating
applications on other servers. He is also the library systems
administrator for the Online library system.
Among other things, Alan works on the development of macros
and the SQL queries to enable staff to work smarter and
be more efficient.
